Delhi Launches Durga E-Auto Scheme for Women and Transgenders

Delhi government is launching the Durga E-Auto Scheme to economically empower women and transgender individuals. The first phase will introduce 1,300 pink electric autos, with 1,170 designated for women and 130 for transgender beneficiaries. This initiative aims to boost self-employment opportunities and promote green mobility by enabling these groups to become owners and drivers of electric autos. Applications will be processed through a dedicated digital portal, with selection committees overseeing the verification and lottery system if needed. Beneficiaries will also be eligible for incentives under the Delhi EV Policy.

दिल्ली सरकार महिलाओं और ट्रांसजेंडर व्यक्तियों को आर्थिक रूप से सशक्त बनाने के लिए दुर्गा ई-ऑटो योजना शुरू कर रही है। पहले चरण में 1,300 गुलाबी इलेक्ट्रिक ऑटो पेश किए जाएंगे, जिनमें से 1,170 महिलाओं के लिए और 130 ट्रांसजेंडर लाभार्थियों के लिए होंगे। इस पहल का उद्देश्य इन समूहों को इलेक्ट्रिक ऑटो का मालिक और ड्राइवर बनने में सक्षम बनाकर स्वरोजगार के अवसरों को बढ़ावा देना और हरित गतिशीलता को बढ़ावा देना है। आवेदन एक समर्पित डिजिटल पोर्टल के माध्यम से संसाधित किए जाएंगे, जिसमें चयन समितियां सत्यापन और यदि आवश्यक हो तो लॉटरी प्रणाली की देखरेख करेंगी। लाभार्थियों को दिल्ली ईवी नीति के तहत प्रोत्साहन के लिए भी पात्रता होगी।
