Ariyalur GH Lift Operator Rescued After Malfunction

A 38-year-old lift operator with a disability was rescued by fire service personnel at Ariyalur Government Medical College Hospital on Tuesday. The operator, C Nithyanandam, became trapped inside the lift on the fourth floor due to a technical snag. Hospital staff attempted to open the lift but damaged the emergency key. Firefighters used a hydraulic cutter to free Nithyanandam after he was stuck for approximately 20 minutes. Patients and attendees have urged the hospital management to ensure proper maintenance of the lifts.

मंगलवार को अरियालुर सरकारी मेडिकल कॉलेज अस्पताल में 38 वर्षीय दिव्यांग लिफ्ट ऑपरेटर को फायर सर्विस के जवानों ने बचाया। ऑपरेटर सी. नित्यानंदम तकनीकी खराबी के कारण चौथी मंजिल पर लिफ्ट में फंस गए थे। अस्पताल के कर्मचारियों ने लिफ्ट खोलने की कोशिश की लेकिन इमरजेंसी चाबी खराब कर दी। लगभग 20 मिनट तक फंसे रहने के बाद दमकलकर्मियों ने हाइड्रोलिक कटर का इस्तेमाल कर नित्यानंदम को बाहर निकाला। मरीजों और तीमारदारों ने अस्पताल प्रबंधन से लिफ्टों के उचित रखरखाव को सुनिश्चित करने का आग्रह किया है।
