A Nihang man in his 60s has been booked by the Meharban police in Ludhiana for allegedly attacking his 35-year-old son with a sharp-edged weapon. The son, Satwant Singh, a hosiery businessman, stated that his father, Surinder Singh, forced him to consume alcohol before the assault. Satwant Singh, who usually lives separately due to his father's aggressive behaviour, had visited home and found his father drinking. He alleged his father attacked him on the head after he finished his second glass of alcohol, causing him to lose consciousness.
