Nifty Falls For 7th Week, Breaks 6-Year Record

The Indian stock market experienced significant pressure this week, with the Nifty 50 marking its longest losing streak in six years by falling for seven consecutive weeks. High crude oil prices, rising US Treasury yields, geopolitical tensions, and aggressive foreign institutional investor (FII) selling contributed to a decline in investor risk appetite. Despite a late recovery driven by easing oil prices and value buying, the Nifty saw an approximate 0.88% drop. FIIs were major sellers, offloading ₹18,531 crore, while domestic institutional investors bought ₹52,617 crore.

इस हफ़्ते भारतीय शेयर बाज़ार पर काफ़ी दबाव रहा। निफ्टी 50 लगातार सात हफ़्ते गिरकर छह साल का सबसे लंबा गिरावट का सिलसिला बना गया। कच्चे तेल की बढ़ती कीमतें, अमेरिकी ट्रेजरी यील्ड में उछाल, भू-राजनीतिक तनाव और विदेशी संस्थागत निवेशकों (FII) की भारी बिकवाली ने निवेशकों का भरोसा कम कर दिया। तेल की कीमतों में नरमी और वैल्यू बाइंग से थोड़ी रिकवरी के बावजूद, निफ्टी लगभग 0.88% गिर गया। FIIs ने ₹18,531 करोड़ के शेयर बेचे, जबकि घरेलू संस्थागत निवेशकों ने ₹52,617 करोड़ की ख़रीदारी की।
