Karnataka Minister Orders Action Against Illegal Resorts in Tiger Reserves

Karnataka Environment Minister Ramalinga Reddy has instructed forest officials to immediately address illegal resorts and homestays operating within the Eco Sensitive Zones and buffer areas of tiger reserves and protected regions. He chaired a meeting of the State Board for Wildlife Standing Committee to gather information on commercial activities in these sensitive zones. Reddy also emphasized the need for minimal disturbance in ESZ areas, suggesting they be declared silent zones and advocating for Zonal Master Plans to educate the public.

कर्नाटक के पर्यावरण मंत्री रामलिंग रेड्डी ने वन अधिकारियों को टाइगर रिजर्व और संरक्षित क्षेत्रों के इको सेंसिटिव जोन और बफर क्षेत्रों के भीतर संचालित हो रहे अवैध रिसॉर्ट्स और होमस्टे पर तुरंत कार्रवाई करने का निर्देश दिया है। उन्होंने इन संवेदनशील क्षेत्रों में व्यावसायिक गतिविधियों के बारे में जानकारी इकट्ठा करने के लिए राज्य वन्यजीव बोर्ड की स्थायी समिति की बैठक की अध्यक्षता की। रेड्डी ने ईएसजेड क्षेत्रों में न्यूनतम व्यवधान की आवश्यकता पर भी जोर दिया, उन्हें साइलेंट जोन घोषित करने का सुझाव दिया और जनता को शिक्षित करने के लिए जोनल मास्टर प्लान की वकालत की।
