August Air Passenger Traffic Down 6.3%

Domestic air passenger traffic saw a 6.34% decline in August compared to the previous year, with 12.13 million passengers travelling. This marks the second consecutive decline in passenger numbers. IndiGo's market share dropped to 65% from 67.4%, while Air India Group's share increased to 26.7%. Overall passenger traffic from January to August was marginally lower year-on-year. Load factors for major airlines also declined in August.
