Airlines Reject 33% Cut in Mumbai Airport International Slots
Mint · business
Airlines have formally rejected MIAL proposal to temporarily reduce international departure slots at Terminal 2 by 33%, amounting to 265 weekly slots. MIAL, controlled by the Adani Group, plans to use the vacated capacity to accommodate domestic traffic during the redevelopment of Terminal 1. Carriers argue that this should not necessitate flight cancellations or reduced operations, citing concerns over a lack of meaningful consultation and the impact on their already approved winter schedules. IndiGo and Air India face the largest proposed cuts.
