India Opens New Diplomatic Mission in Costa Rica to Boost Central American Ties

India has officially opened its new resident diplomatic mission in San José, Costa Rica, aiming to expand its presence in Central America and deepen bilateral engagement. The mission became operational on October 10, according to the Ministry of External Affairs. This strategic move is expected to foster closer political ties, promote trade and investment, and enhance cooperation in sectors like pharmaceuticals and IT. It will also facilitate people-to-people exchanges and improve consular services for Indian citizens residing in the region.

भारत ने मध्य अमेरिका में अपनी मौजूदगी बढ़ाने और द्विपक्षीय जुड़ाव को गहरा करने के लक्ष्य से सैन होज़े, कोस्टा रिका में अपना नया स्थायी राजनयिक मिशन आधिकारिक तौर पर खोल दिया है। विदेश मंत्रालय के अनुसार, यह मिशन 10 अक्टूबर को चालू हो गया। इस रणनीतिक कदम से राजनीतिक संबंध मजबूत होने, व्यापार और निवेश को बढ़ावा मिलने और फार्मास्यूटिकल्स और आईटी जैसे क्षेत्रों में सहयोग बढ़ने की उम्मीद है। यह लोगों के बीच आदान-प्रदान को भी सुगम बनाएगा और क्षेत्र में रहने वाले भारतीय नागरिकों के लिए कांसुलर सेवाओं में सुधार करेगा।
