Jamia University Agrees to Student Demands, Sets Timeline for Union Polls

Jamia Millia Islamia University has agreed to key student demands, including setting a timeline for the Students' Union constitution and revoking disciplinary actions linked to protests. Offline classes will resume on Monday, November 2. The university aims to complete the students' union constitution by May 15, 2027, with elections to follow within six weeks of the July 16, 2027 academic session start. All disciplinary actions, suspensions, and campus bans related to protests will be revoked.
