कर्नाटक के राज्यपाल थावरचंद गहलोत ने KPSC के चेयरमैन शिवशंकरप्पा साहूकार को निलंबित कर दिया है। संविधान के अनुच्छेद 317(1) के तहत यह अभूतपूर्व कदम उठाया गया है। कहा जा रहा है कि यह OBC कोटे और बेटियों के चयन से जुड़ी अनियमितताओं के चलते हुआ है। यह पहली बार है जब किसी मौजूदा चेयरमैन को निलंबित किया गया है, जो राज्य में भर्ती की निष्पक्षता पर सवाल उठाता है।
