CPI(M) to Assess Drought in Andhra Pradesh

The CPI(M) Andhra Pradesh committee will conduct a six-day drought assessment tour across the state from September 16 to 21. Party secretary V. Srinivasa Rao stated that drought conditions prevail in 655 mandals, with nearly 80% of crops unsown and others damaged. He highlighted drinking water shortages, power cuts, and loss of livelihood for agricultural workers, estimating crop losses over ₹5 lakh crore. Three teams will visit affected districts to interact with farmers and workers.

सीपीएम आंध्र प्रदेश में सूखे का आकलन करेगी

सीपीएम (CPI(M)) की आंध्र प्रदेश समिति 16 से 21 सितंबर तक छह दिनों के लिए राज्य भर में सूखे का जायजा लेगी। पार्टी सचिव वी. श्रीनिवास राव ने बताया कि 655 मंडलों में सूखा है, करीब 80% फसलें बोई नहीं गईं और बाकी खराब हो गईं। उन्होंने पीने के पानी की कमी, बिजली कटौती और किसानों की रोजी-रोटी छिनने की बात कही। तीन टीमें प्रभावित जिलों में किसानों से मिलेंगी।
