McLeod Russel Signs Debt Restructuring Deal

McLeod Russel India Limited has signed a Master Restructuring Agreement (MRA) with National Asset Reconstruction Company Limited to settle its outstanding debt. The company's total debt stands at Rs 2,483.3 crore, divided into sustainable and unsustainable portions. The agreement mandates repayment of sustainable debt by FY2029 and includes a 10% equity share allotment to NARCL. This restructuring aims to resolve the tea producer's financial difficulties, which previously led to it being taken to the NCLT twice.

मैकलियोड रसेल इंडिया लिमिटेड ने अपने बकाया कर्ज के निपटान के लिए नेशनल एसेट रिकंस्ट्रक्शन कंपनी लिमिटेड के साथ एक मास्टर रीस्ट्रक्चरिंग एग्रीमेंट (MRA) पर हस्ताक्षर किए हैं। कंपनी का कुल कर्ज 2,483.3 करोड़ रुपये है, जिसे टिकाऊ और गैर-टिकाऊ हिस्सों में बांटा गया है। समझौते में वित्तीय वर्ष 2029 तक टिकाऊ कर्ज के पुनर्भुगतान का प्रावधान है और इसमें NARCL को 10% इक्विटी शेयर आवंटित करना शामिल है। इस पुनर्गठन का उद्देश्य चाय उत्पादक की वित्तीय कठिनाइयों को दूर करना है, जिसके कारण इसे पहले दो बार NCLT ले जाया गया था।
