This initiative, aimed at promoting the 'Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao' campaign, involves postal employees visiting households to facilitate account openings. The scheme, available for girls up to ten years old with a minimum deposit of ₹250, offers an 8.0% interest rate and income tax exemption.

प्रयागराज डाक विभाग ने 'समृद्ध सुकन्या-समृद्ध समाज' अभियान के तहत सुकन्या समृद्धि योजना में बालिकाओं के लिए 4.04 लाख खाते सफलतापूर्वक खोले हैं। 'बेटी बचाओ, बेटी पढ़ाओ' अभियान को बढ़ावा देने के उद्देश्य से शुरू की गई इस पहल में डाक कर्मचारी घर-घर जाकर खाते खोलने में मदद कर रहे हैं। यह योजना दस साल तक की बालिकाओं के लिए उपलब्ध है, जिसमें न्यूनतम ₹250 जमा करने पर 8.0% ब्याज दर और आयकर छूट का लाभ मिलता है।
