Gavaskar Urges Indian Batters to Show More Responsibility After T20I Loss

Times of India - Sports · sports

Former India captain Sunil Gavaskar has called for greater responsibility from the Indian batting unit, particularly when chasing targets, following their 24-run defeat to the West Indies in the fourth T20I. Despite a quickfire 56 from Sanju Samson, India fell short of the 247-run target, being bowled out for 223. Gavaskar felt the batters failed to capitalize on favorable conditions and build on Samson's strong start. He defended the inexperienced bowlers, stating they need time to learn at the international level.
