Chandigarh Approves 1,840 New Government Houses

Chandigarh's government housing shortage is set to be addressed with the House Allotment Committee clearing 1,840 new houses for employees. The majority, 1,720 units, will be constructed in Sector 43, while 120 houses are approved for Sector 25. This expansion includes replacing unsafe old housing stock in Sector 20 with new units. The move aims to utilize reclaimed land and provide much-needed accommodation, particularly for B and C category employees who often face long waits.

चंडीगढ़ में 1,840 नए सरकारी घर मंजूर

चंडीगढ़ में सरकारी कर्मचारियों के लिए 1,840 नए घर मंजूर हो गए हैं। इनमें से 1,720 घर सेक्टर 43 में बनेंगे और 120 घर सेक्टर 25 में। सेक्टर 20 के पुराने और असुरक्षित घरों की जगह भी नए घर बनाए जाएंगे। इस कदम से खाली हुई ज़मीन का इस्तेमाल होगा और कर्मचारियों को घर मिलेंगे, खासकर बी और सी कैटेगरी के कर्मचारियों को जिन्हें अक्सर इंतज़ार करना पड़ता है।
