Ludhiana Commuters Face Hassle Due To Bus Diversion

Ludhiana commuters faced significant inconvenience on Monday as a large number of state-run buses were diverted for a government event. Approximately 50 out of nearly 70 operational buses were deployed to ferry attendees to the 'Jashan-e-Inquilab' event at Punjab Agricultural University. This drastic reduction in available buses left regular passengers, including students and office-goers, with longer waits and forced them to seek alternative, often more expensive, private transport. The Punjab Roadways department attempted to mitigate the issue by diverting buses from other routes.

सोमवार को लुधियाना के यात्रियों को सरकारी कार्यक्रम के लिए राज्य की बसों के बड़े पैमाने पर डायवर्जन के कारण काफी असुविधा हुई। पंजाब एग्रीकल्चरल यूनिवर्सिटी में 'जश्न-ए-इंकलाब' कार्यक्रम में उपस्थित लोगों को ले जाने के लिए लगभग 70 चालू बसों में से लगभग 50 बसों को तैनात किया गया था। उपलब्ध बसों में इस भारी कमी के कारण छात्रों और ऑफिस जाने वालों सहित नियमित यात्रियों को लंबे समय तक इंतजार करना पड़ा और उन्हें वैकल्पिक, अक्सर अधिक महंगे, निजी परिवहन की तलाश करनी पड़ी। पंजाब रोडवेज विभाग ने अन्य मार्गों से बसों को डायवर्ट करके समस्या को कम करने का प्रयास किया।
