Tribal Body Demands ST Quota Hike

The Adivasi Adhikar Rashtriya Manch, a Left-affiliated tribal body, passed a resolution at its national convention in New Delhi. The resolution demands that the ST classification be kept free from political manipulation. It also calls for an increase in the ST quota. नई दिल्ली में लेफ्ट से जुड़े आदिवासी संगठन, आदिवासी अधिकार राष्ट्रीय मंच ने एक प्रस्ताव पारित किया है। इसमें कहा गया है कि एसटी (ST) वर्गीकरण को राजनीतिक दखल से दूर रखा जाए। साथ ही, एसटी कोटे में बढ़ोतरी की मांग की गई है। इस प्रस्ताव में देश भर के आदिवासी समुदायों के लिए संसाधन, शिक्षा, रोज़गार और सांस्कृतिक अधिकारों जैसे अहम मुद्दों को शामिल किया गया है।
