Amitabh Bachchan Recalls First Film Salary, Wanted to Give It To Parents

Megastar Amitabh Bachchan revealed on Kaun Banega Crorepati 15 that his first thought upon receiving his salary from his debut film, 'Saat Hindustani', was to give it to his parents. He expressed a desire to use his earnings to bring Harivansh Rai Bachchan and Teji Bachchan to live with him. Bachchan felt this opportunity allowed him to take on the responsibilities his parents had carried throughout their lives. The film, released in 1969, marked his entry into cinema and earned him his first National Film Award.
