Modern Indian cricket relies on a large support team, a stark contrast to the 1983 World Cup squad. Today, 16 specialists, including coaches, doctors, and analysts, work behind the scenes to prepare the 11 players on the field. This extensive backroom staff ensures players remain fit, recover from injuries, and refine their techniques and strategies. BCCI recently shared a video highlighting this modern approach, showcasing the comprehensive system now in place for the team's success.
