Rupee Falls Below 96 Against US Dollar

The Indian rupee depreciated by 16 paise, falling below the psychologically important 96 per dollar mark in early trade on Tuesday. This decline was primarily driven by elevated crude oil prices and persistent foreign fund outflows from emerging markets. Forex traders noted that firm oil prices and rising U.S. yields are contributing to this pressure. Despite the rupee's fall, domestic industrial output grew 8% in August, and the Reserve Bank has managed bond sales effectively.

मंगलवार को शुरुआती कारोबार में भारतीय रुपया 16 पैसे गिरकर 96 प्रति डॉलर के मनोवैज्ञानिक स्तर से नीचे आ गया। यह गिरावट मुख्य रूप से कच्चे तेल की ऊंची कीमतों और उभरते बाजारों से विदेशी फंड के लगातार बाहर जाने के कारण हुई। फॉरेक्स ट्रेडर्स ने बताया कि तेल की मजबूत कीमतें और अमेरिकी यील्ड में बढ़ोतरी इस दबाव में योगदान दे रहे हैं। रुपये की गिरावट के बावजूद, अगस्त में घरेलू औद्योगिक उत्पादन 8% बढ़ा, और रिजर्व बैंक ने बॉन्ड बिक्री को प्रभावी ढंग से संभाला है।
