Former Sarpanch's Son Hacked to Death in Revenge Attack; 4 Arrested

A 22-year-old man, Dipanshu alias Deep Sahu, the only son of former village sarpanch Chandrashekhar Sahu, was killed in Dhamtari, Chhattisgarh. He was attacked with a sharp weapon along with his cousin Vikas, who is critically injured and undergoing treatment. The incident occurred when five to seven masked assailants attacked them due to old enmity. Police have arrested four accused, who were remanded to jail, while others are still at large. The motive is believed to be revenge for the murder of a friend.

छत्तीसगढ़ के धमतरी में 22 साल के दीपंशु उर्फ दीप साहू, जो पूर्व ग्राम सरपंच चंद्रशेखर साहू के इकलौते बेटे थे, की हत्या कर दी गई। तेज धार हथियार से उन पर हमला किया गया था, जिसमें उनके चचेरे भाई विकास भी गंभीर रूप से घायल हो गए हैं और उनका इलाज चल रहा है। यह घटना तब हुई जब पुरानी रंजिश के चलते पांच से सात नकाबपोश हमलावरों ने उन पर हमला कर दिया। पुलिस ने चार आरोपियों को गिरफ्तार कर जेल भेज दिया है, जबकि बाकी अभी भी फरार हैं। माना जा रहा है कि हत्या का मकसद एक दोस्त की हत्या का बदला लेना है।
