CBI Finds Evidence of 21 Compromised Transfers, 11 Policy Changes in Punjab

The CBI has reportedly gathered evidence of at least 21 senior Punjab government and police officers whose transfers were compromised as part of a "cash-for-postings" scam investigation. The probe also uncovered 11 alleged instances of policy changes, including attempts to influence transport policy and administrative decisions. Evidence includes communications from officers and MLAs requesting posting favors, with an accused pointing to his friendship with the Punjab CM's OSD. The investigation also revealed instances of alleged tender manipulations and the acquisition of an industrial plot by an accused.

सीबीआई ने कथित तौर पर पंजाब सरकार और पुलिस के कम से कम 21 वरिष्ठ अधिकारियों के खिलाफ सबूत इकट्ठा किए हैं, जिनके तबादले "कैश-फॉर-पोस्टिंग" घोटाले की जांच के तहत प्रभावित किए गए थे। इस जांच में नीतिगत बदलावों के 11 कथित मामले भी सामने आए हैं, जिनमें परिवहन नीति और प्रशासनिक फैसलों को प्रभावित करने की कोशिशें शामिल हैं। सबूतों में अधिकारियों और विधायकों के पोस्टिंग फेवर मांगने वाले संचार शामिल हैं, जिसमें एक आरोपी ने पंजाब के सीएम के ओएसडी के साथ अपनी दोस्ती का हवाला दिया। जांच में कथित टेंडर में हेरफेर और एक आरोपी द्वारा औद्योगिक प्लॉट की खरीद के मामले भी सामने आए हैं।
