Stanford University students are now required to recite a consent pledge aloud before entering parties. This pledge reminds attendees that consent can be revoked at any time and includes a promise to hold others accountable. Some fraternities even administer quizzes on the pledge, with entry denied to those who don't comply. These measures, some student-initiated and others administrator-imposed, reflect a growing trend of regulating social events on college campuses, heightened by recent allegations of sexual assault at parties.
