Romania has declared a 30-day energy alert due to critically low Danube river levels impacting its nuclear power plant. Unit one at the Cernavoda facility has stopped operations because of water scarcity. Emergency measures, including river dredging and blasting rock formations, are underway to ensure unit two continues functioning. Residents are being asked to conserve electricity during peak evening hours to manage the situation.

रोमानिया ने डेन्यूब नदी के बेहद निचले स्तर के कारण 30 दिन की ऊर्जा चेतावनी जारी की है। इससे वहां के परमाणु बिजली संयंत्र पर असर पड़ रहा है। पानी की कमी के चलते Cernavoda प्लांट की यूनिट एक का काम बंद हो गया है। यूनिट दो को चालू रखने के लिए नदी की खुदाई और चट्टानों को हटाने जैसे आपातकालीन उपाय किए जा रहे हैं। लोगों से शाम के समय बिजली बचाने को कहा गया है।
