Gurinder Singh Sangha, an Asian Hockey Federation umpire manager for the Asian Games, has departed Japan following multiple allegations of sexual misconduct. Complaints include alleged inappropriate advances towards a female Malaysian hockey official and misbehavior with hotel staff. This is not the first accusation against Sangha, as a similar complaint was filed during the Hockey India League in January 2025. Hockey India had formed a committee to investigate that incident. The Asian Games are currently underway in Nagoya.
