CJP Leaders Released After Court Rejects Police Plea For Extended Custody

Cockroach Janta Party leaders Saurav Das and Ashutosh Ranka have been released from jail after spending seven days in custody. A Special Executive Magistrate court in Delhi ordered their release. The leaders were detained following a protest at Jantar Mantar on October 13. They submitted undertakings promising not to organize protests at Jantar Mantar while the site is denotified and to maintain public peace. This decision comes after police sought preventive action against them.

कॉकरोच जनता पार्टी (CJP) के नेता सौरभ दास और आशुतोष रांका सात दिन की हिरासत में रहने के बाद जेल से रिहा हो गए हैं। दिल्ली की एक स्पेशल एग्जीक्यूटिव मजिस्ट्रेट कोर्ट ने उनकी रिहाई का आदेश दिया। नेताओं को 13 अक्टूबर को जंतर-मंतर पर विरोध प्रदर्शन के बाद हिरासत में लिया गया था। उन्होंने यह वचन दिया कि जब तक जंतर-मंतर को डीनोटिफाई नहीं किया जाता, तब तक वहां विरोध प्रदर्शन आयोजित नहीं करेंगे और शांति बनाए रखेंगे। यह फैसला पुलिस द्वारा उनके खिलाफ निवारक कार्रवाई मांगने के बाद आया है।
