Newlywed Woman Accuses Husband, 8 Relatives of Dowry Harassment and Assault

A 25-year-old woman in Hathras has filed a police complaint against her husband, an engineer, and eight of his family members for dowry harassment, assault, and privacy violation. The FIR registered at the Woman Police Station details allegations of continuous demands for cash, jewelry, and a vehicle, escalating to confiscation of belongings and restricted movement after a ₹20 lakh demand was unmet. The woman also reported physical assault and sexual harassment by her brothers-in-law during a stay in Agra.
