The Left Democratic Front (LDF) has demanded an investigation into the alleged forging of BJP councillor R. Sugathan's signature on the Thiruvananthapuram Corporation council attendance register. Sugathan, who is jailed under KAAPA, missed three council meetings while in hiding. His signature was reportedly forged to prevent his disqualification for consecutive absences. LDF Parliamentary party leader S.P. Deepak submitted documents to the government and police, alleging the forgery occurred with the Mayor's knowledge to falsely record Sugathan's presence.
