Apple-Loaded Truck Plunges Into Gorge at Ganpati Ghat, Catches Fire

A truck carrying apples crashed through a railing and fell approximately 50 feet into a gorge at Ganpati Ghat on the Rau-Khalghat highway. The incident occurred around midnight on Tuesday in the Dhamnod police station limits. The driver and helper managed to escape by jumping from the moving vehicle before it hit the ground. Upon impact, the truck caught fire, reducing its cabin to ashes. Police have registered a case and are investigating the cause of the accident and subsequent fire, noting frequent accidents on this stretch.

रौ-खलघाट हाईवे पर गणपति घाट के पास एक ट्रक रेलिंग तोड़कर करीब 50 फीट नीचे खाई में गिर गया। यह घटना मंगलवार की रात करीब 12 बजे धामनोद थाना क्षेत्र में हुई। ट्रक के जमीन पर गिरने से पहले ही ड्राइवर और हेल्पर चलती गाड़ी से कूदकर बाल-बाल बच गए। ट्रक के गिरने के बाद उसमें आग लग गई, जिससे उसका केबिन जलकर राख हो गया। पुलिस ने मामला दर्ज कर लिया है और दुर्घटना व आग लगने के कारणों की जांच कर रही है। पुलिस ने बताया कि इस सड़क पर अक्सर हादसे होते रहते हैं।
