Dia Mirza's Diwali Video Sparks Political Row; Shiv Sena Criticises, NCP Defends

A controversy has erupted after the BMC removed actress Dia Mirza's video promoting an eco-friendly, firecracker-free Diwali. Shiv Sena leader Anand Dubey criticised the video, stating artists should focus on their craft and that Sanatan Dharma does not need external guidance on festivals. Conversely, NCP spokesperson Clyde Crasto defended Mirza, asserting she followed High Court orders and that the BMC approached her for the video. He questioned why the BMC Mayor was unaware and suggested internal discord within the civic body.

अभिनेत्री दीया मिर्ज़ा के पर्यावरण-अनुकूल, पटाखे-मुक्त दिवाली को बढ़ावा देने वाले वीडियो को बीएमसी द्वारा हटाए जाने के बाद विवाद खड़ा हो गया है। शिवसेना नेता आनंद दुबे ने वीडियो की आलोचना करते हुए कहा कि कलाकारों को अपनी कला पर ध्यान देना चाहिए और सनातन धर्म को त्योहारों पर बाहरी मार्गदर्शन की आवश्यकता नहीं है। वहीं, एनसीपी प्रवक्ता क्लाइड क्रैस्टो ने मिर्ज़ा का बचाव करते हुए कहा कि उन्होंने हाई कोर्ट के आदेशों का पालन किया और बीएमसी ने वीडियो के लिए उनसे संपर्क किया था। उन्होंने सवाल किया कि बीएमसी मेयर इससे अनजान क्यों थे और नागरिक निकाय के भीतर आंतरिक कलह का सुझाव दिया।
