SBI Warns of New UPI Scam: 'Jumped Deposit' Fraud Explained
TV9 Hindi · technology
Scammers are using a new 'jumped deposit' scam to defraud people by sending small amounts of money to their accounts. They then claim the transfer was a mistake and pressure victims to return a larger sum, often by approving a UPI payment request. SBI has advised customers not to trust such claims without verification. Users should always check their bank statements for actual credits and never share their UPI PIN or approve payments under pressure.
