Telangana Voter Applications Rejected Due To Missing Declaration Form

The Hindu · india

In Telangana, 37% of pre-Special Intensive Revision (SIR) Form-6 applications for new voter enrolments were rejected. This rejection rate of 1,92,574 applications occurred because they lacked a declaration form, which became mandatory only during the SIR process. A total of 5,20,331 applications were received before the SIR began. Electoral officials cited the non-submission of this declaration form as the primary reason for rejection. Rejected applicants must resubmit their forms by November 7, 2026, to be included in the final electoral rolls.
