Mumbai Dahi Handi Tragedy: 2 Dead, 212 Injured

Two people, including a 7-year-old, have died and 212 others were injured during Mumbai's Dahi Handi celebrations. The injuries occurred as participants, known as 'Govindas', formed human pyramids. Mumbai reported 168 injuries, while neighbouring Thane city recorded 44. The festival involves forming tall human pyramids to break a pot of curd suspended high above. These incidents highlight safety concerns during the popular traditional event.

मुंबई में दही हांडी के उत्सव के दौरान दो लोगों की मौत हो गई, जिनमें एक 7 साल का बच्चा भी शामिल था। वहीं 212 लोग घायल हुए हैं। गोविंदाओं ने इंसानी पिरामिड बनाने की कोशिश की, तभी ये हादसे हुए। मुंबई में 168 लोग घायल हुए, जबकि ठाणे में 44 लोग चोटिल हुए। यह त्योहार ऊँचाई पर लटकी दही की मटकी फोड़ने के लिए मानव पिरामिड बनाने का है। इन घटनाओं से इस लोकप्रिय पारंपरिक आयोजन में सुरक्षा की चिंताएं बढ़ गई हैं।
