Kolkata Couple Found Dead; Note Leaves ₹1 Lakh For Funeral

An elderly couple was discovered deceased in their Kolkata home on Sunday morning. Police found the 67-year-old man hanging from a ceiling fan and his 60-year-old wife lying on the bed in the same room. A handwritten note and ₹1 lakh were found, with the note specifying the money was for their funeral expenses. Relatives reported the couple had been depressed since their son's death two decades ago and were also facing financial difficulties and health issues. The deaths are currently under investigation by the police.

रविवार सुबह कोलकाता में एक बुजुर्ग दंपती अपने घर में मृत पाए गए। पुलिस ने 67 वर्षीय व्यक्ति को पंखे से लटका हुआ और उसकी 60 वर्षीय पत्नी को उसी कमरे में बिस्तर पर लेटा हुआ पाया। एक हस्तलिखित नोट और ₹1 लाख मिले, जिसमें नोट में कहा गया था कि पैसा उनके अंतिम संस्कार के खर्चों के लिए है। रिश्तेदारों ने बताया कि यह जोड़ा अपने बेटे की दो दशक पहले हुई मौत के बाद से अवसाद में था और उन्हें वित्तीय कठिनाइयों और स्वास्थ्य समस्याओं का भी सामना करना पड़ रहा था। पुलिस वर्तमान में इन मौतों की जांच कर रही है।
