Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has awarded U.S. First Lady Melania Trump a state honour, the Order of Princess Olga, 1st class. The award recognizes her significant personal contribution to humanitarian support for Ukraine and her role in organizing a humanitarian evacuation from the Russian-occupied town of Oleshky. Nearly 800 people were evacuated during the six-day ceasefire, which was the longest local pause in fighting since Russia's full-scale invasion in 2022. The decree cited her work to help Ukrainian children, including those deported from occupied territories.
