Mysuru Hotel Owners' Association has submitted a fresh petition to Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar requesting permission for commercial establishments to operate until 1 a.m. This follows a similar announcement in the 2024-25 Budget for 20 City Corporations across Karnataka, including Bengaluru, to promote commercial activity. The association highlighted that the police department also recommended extending operating hours. They argue this would benefit tourists, provide late-night access to essentials, boost the hotel industry, create jobs, and increase government tax revenue.

मैसूर होटल ओनर्स एसोसिएशन ने मुख्यमंत्री डी.के. शिवकुमार को एक ताज़ा याचिका सौंपी है, जिसमें व्यावसायिक प्रतिष्ठानों को रात 1 बजे तक संचालित करने की अनुमति देने का अनुरोध किया गया है। यह कर्नाटक के 20 सिटी कॉर्पोरेशनों, जिनमें बेंगलुरु भी शामिल है, के लिए 2024-25 के बजट में व्यावसायिक गतिविधियों को बढ़ावा देने के लिए की गई ऐसी ही घोषणा के बाद आया है। एसोसिएशन ने इस बात पर प्रकाश डाला कि पुलिस विभाग ने भी संचालन के घंटे बढ़ाने की सिफारिश की थी। उनका तर्क है कि इससे पर्यटकों को लाभ होगा, आवश्यक वस्तुओं तक देर रात पहुंच मिलेगी, होटल उद्योग को बढ़ावा मिलेगा, रोजगार पैदा होंगे और सरकारी कर राजस्व बढ़ेगा।
