Hyderabad police have arrested Kondabattula Pawan Kumar for allegedly running a honeytrap and online blackmailing racket. He is accused of creating fake social media profiles of women to lure victims, extort money through blackmail, and also defraud a software employee by promising high investment returns. The total alleged fraud amounts to ₹25.16 lakh, with ₹18 lakh reportedly extorted through blackmail. Police have identified 24 victims from other Indian states and nine from abroad, with investigations ongoing to find more potential victims and financial transactions.

हैदराबाद पुलिस ने कोंडाबट्टुला पवन कुमार को कथित तौर पर हनीट्रैप और ऑनलाइन ब्लैकमेलिंग रैकेट चलाने के आरोप में गिरफ्तार किया है। उस पर महिलाओं की फर्जी सोशल मीडिया प्रोफाइल बनाकर पीड़ितों को फंसाने, ब्लैकमेल करके पैसे ऐंठने और ऊंचे निवेश रिटर्न का वादा करके एक सॉफ्टवेयर कर्मचारी को धोखा देने का आरोप है। कुल कथित धोखाधड़ी ₹25.16 लाख है, जिसमें से ₹18 लाख कथित तौर पर ब्लैकमेलिंग के जरिए वसूले गए हैं। पुलिस ने अन्य भारतीय राज्यों के 24 पीड़ितों और विदेश के नौ पीड़ितों की पहचान की है, और अधिक संभावित पीड़ितों और वित्तीय लेनदेन का पता लगाने के लिए जांच जारी है।
