Auto Retail Sales Hit Record 2.42 Million Units

Auto retail sales reached a record 2.42 million units in August, an 18% increase year-on-year. Passenger vehicles surpassed 400,000 units for the first time, with sales at 402,398 units, a 16.14% rise. Notably, CNG, hybrid, and electric vehicles collectively accounted for a larger share of the passenger vehicle fuel mix than petrol.
