Ranveer Singh Skipped Dhurandhar Promotions; Marketing Head Explains

Dhurandhar's marketing head Varun Gupta revealed that Ranveer Singh did not promote the film as part of a conscious strategy to let the movie and its assets speak for themselves. Gupta recalled director Aditya Dhar's calm reaction to pre-release criticism regarding the film's marketing and lack of buzz. He explained that while Hollywood uses long promotional assets early, it was novel for Hindi cinema. Gupta also touched upon alleged smear campaigns targeting films before release, noting criticism arises regardless of an actor's promotional involvement.

'धुरंधर' के मार्केटिंग हेड वरुण गुप्ता ने बताया कि रणवीर सिंह ने फिल्म को खुद बोलने देने की सोची-समझी रणनीति के तहत इसका प्रमोशन नहीं किया। गुप्ता ने फिल्म के मार्केटिंग और प्रचार की कमी को लेकर रिलीज से पहले हुई आलोचना पर निर्देशक आदित्य धर की शांत प्रतिक्रिया को याद किया। उन्होंने समझाया कि हॉलीवुड में लंबे प्रमोशनल एसेट्स का इस्तेमाल पहले से होता है, लेकिन हिंदी सिनेमा के लिए यह नया था। गुप्ता ने फिल्म रिलीज से पहले कथित तौर पर चलाए गए बदनामी अभियानों का भी जिक्र किया और कहा कि अभिनेता के प्रचार में शामिल होने या न होने के बावजूद आलोचना होती है।
