Railway Minister Meets Kerala MPs on Division Shift

Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw met with MPs from Keralam to discuss the upcoming shift of the Mangaluru railway area to the Mysuru division of South Western Railway on October 1. The move aims to resolve operational difficulties caused by the area currently being split across three railway zones. Vaishnaw also briefed Chief Minister V.D. Satheesan on railway development in Keralam, noting a tenfold increase in allocation to ₹3,795 crore for 2026-27.

रेल मंत्री अश्विनी वैष्णव ने केरल के सांसदों से मुलाकात की। उन्होंने मंगलुरु रेलवे क्षेत्र को 1 अक्टूबर से दक्षिण पश्चिम रेलवे के मैसूरु डिवीजन में स्थानांतरित करने पर चर्चा की। यह कदम परिचालन की दिक्कतों को दूर करेगा, क्योंकि यह क्षेत्र अभी तीन रेलवे जोन में बंटा हुआ है। वैष्णव ने मुख्यमंत्री वी.डी. सतीसन को केरल में रेलवे विकास के बारे में भी बताया। उन्होंने बताया कि 2026-27 के लिए आवंटन दस गुना बढ़कर ₹3,795 करोड़ हो गया है।
