Assistant Commissioner of Police Manasvi Vashistha has been suspended by the Ministry of Home Affairs following a demonstration at police headquarters. The protest, which included personnel gathering inside and outside the building, was reportedly triggered by the transfers of Vashistha and Inspector Arun Kumar. These transfers followed a confrontation between police and lawyers on October 23, where an advocate sustained a head injury. Vashistha, who led the demonstration, called for clearer protocols for handling lawyers at police stations and other measures.
