Bhutan's King Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuk dedicated one of 108 Buddhist stupas, built in nine hours by 40,000 volunteers, to Prime Minister Narendra Modi. This gesture acknowledges India's support for the ambitious Gelephu Mindfulness City project. The stupa, number 76, was chosen as PM Modi recently turned 76. The stupas, each 15 metres tall, mark the spiritual foundation for the planned city, envisioned as a spirituality-driven global economic hub. India's Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju attended the event, highlighting the deep spiritual and civilisational bonds between the two nations.
