Gurgaon Records Cleanest October Air in 11 Years Amidst Rainfall

Gurgaon has achieved its cleanest October air quality since monitoring began in 2016, with the average Air Quality Index (AQI) dropping to 162 this year. This significant improvement is attributed to excess rainfall during the month and the absence of firecracker emissions, as Diwali falls in November. The city experienced only six days of poor air quality, with no days in the very poor or severe categories. Favourable weather conditions and the timing of festivals played a crucial role in this positive environmental shift.

गुरुग्राम ने 2016 में निगरानी शुरू होने के बाद से अपना सबसे साफ अक्टूबर हवा की गुणवत्ता दर्ज की है, इस साल औसत वायु गुणवत्ता सूचकांक (AQI) घटकर 162 हो गया है। इस महत्वपूर्ण सुधार का श्रेय महीने के दौरान हुई अतिरिक्त बारिश और पटाखों के उत्सर्जन की अनुपस्थिति को दिया जाता है, क्योंकि दिवाली नवंबर में पड़ती है। शहर में केवल छह दिन खराब हवा की गुणवत्ता का अनुभव हुआ, और बहुत खराब या गंभीर श्रेणी में कोई दिन नहीं था। अनुकूल मौसम की स्थिति और त्योहारों के समय ने इस सकारात्मक पर्यावरणीय बदलाव में महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका निभाई।
