A former US Army sergeant who survived the 2009 Fort Hood mass shooting supports the execution of gunman Nidal Hasan by firing squad, believing it is a fitting method. Alonzo Lunsford, who was shot seven times, expressed concern, however, about the execution being livestreamed for public viewing, calling it inappropriate for entertainment. While US Defence Secretary Pete Hegseth believes a livestream is important to show consequences, Lunsford worries about the message it sends to younger people.
