Three Sentenced to Life in Bokaro POCSO Case, Including Victim's Mother

A special POCSO court in Bokaro has sentenced three individuals, including the mother of a nine-year-old victim, to life imprisonment. The convicts were found guilty in connection with the May 2024 rape-and-murder case. Prosecutors stated the trio conspired to kill the child because she opposed her mother's illicit relationship. The child was lured from a wedding, sexually assaulted, strangled, and her body was found dumped in bushes. The court also imposed fines of Rs 20,000 on each convict.

बोकारो की एक विशेष POCSO अदालत ने नौ साल की पीड़ित की माँ सहित तीन लोगों को उम्रकैद की सज़ा सुनाई है। आरोपियों को मई 2024 के बलात्कार और हत्या के मामले में दोषी पाया गया था। अभियोजन पक्ष ने बताया कि तीनों ने मिलकर बच्चे की हत्या की साजिश रची थी क्योंकि वह अपनी माँ के अवैध संबंध का विरोध कर रही थी। बच्चे को एक शादी से बहला-फुसलाकर ले जाया गया, उसके साथ बलात्कार किया गया, गला घोंटकर मार डाला गया और उसके शव को झाड़ियों में फेंक दिया गया। अदालत ने प्रत्येक दोषी पर 20,000 रुपये का जुर्माना भी लगाया है।
