Cuddalore district has identified 239 vulnerable, low-lying locations susceptible to inundation during the Northeast monsoon. Of these, 22 areas are classified as very highly vulnerable, 39 as highly vulnerable, 20 as moderately vulnerable, and 158 as low vulnerability. District officials are initiating measures to prevent and mitigate potential flooding issues. Preparations include ensuring cyclone shelters and accommodation are ready with basic amenities, maintaining essential commodity stocks, and coordinating with residents and first responders for effective rescue and restoration operations.
