A 57-year-old man died by suicide on Monday morning after jumping onto the metro tracks at Delhi's Lajpat Nagar station. Police received information about the incident around 9 am and found the man deceased upon arrival. CCTV footage confirmed he jumped from platform number 1 at 8:41 am in front of an approaching train. A suicide note and his PAN card were recovered from the scene. His family has been informed, and his body is being sent for legal formalities.
