कांग्रेस नेता अजय राय ने जेवर एयरपोर्ट का नाम प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी के नाम पर रखने के सरकार के फैसले की आलोचना की है। उन्होंने प्रशासन से सार्वजनिक संस्थानों का नाम बदलने के बजाय बेरोजगारी, महंगाई और किसानों की चिंताओं जैसे ज्वलंत मुद्दों को प्राथमिकता देने का आग्रह किया। राय ने तर्क दिया कि नागरिकों को राजनीतिक नामों वाली सुविधाओं की तुलना में रोजगार सृजन और आर्थिक राहत से अधिक लाभ होता है। उन्होंने इस बात पर जोर दिया कि सरकारी प्रदर्शन को केवल बुनियादी ढांचे के नामकरण की परंपराओं से नहीं, बल्कि रोजगार सृजन, उचित कृषि मूल्य और स्वास्थ्य सेवा तथा शिक्षा में सुधार से मापा जाना चाहिए।
