Historic Cheyenne Motor Court Demolished For Coffee Shop

The Twin Chimneys Motor Court in Cheyenne, Wyoming, a historic lodging spot on the Lincoln Highway, has been demolished. Its distinctive twin stone chimneys were the last parts of the old motel to be removed. The site will be replaced by a 7 Brew Coffee drive-thru stand. Preservation advocates expressed disappointment, wishing there had been more time to explore options for saving the building or its unique chimneys.
