Trump Admin Seeks Quick Third-Country Deportations

The Trump administration has asked the Supreme Court to allow quick deportations of immigrants to third countries, even if they have no ties there. The government wants lower court orders halted, which require immigrants to have a chance to object before being sent to countries other than their homelands. An appeals court previously upheld a ruling that migrants must be able to argue against third-country deportation if it risks persecution or torture. The administration argues these legal requirements cause delays and could disrupt agreements with nearly two dozen countries.

ट्रंप प्रशासन ने सुप्रीम कोर्ट से कहा है कि वो अप्रवासियों को तीसरे देशों में तुरंत भेजने की इजाज़त दे, भले ही उनका वहाँ कोई संबंध न हो। सरकार चाहती है कि निचली अदालतों के वो आदेश रुकें जिनमें कहा गया है कि अप्रवासियों को उनके वतन के अलावा किसी और देश में भेजने से पहले आपत्ति जताने का मौका मिलना चाहिए। एक अपील अदालत ने पहले भी ऐसा फैसला सुनाया था कि अगर किसी को तीसरे देश में भेजने से सताए जाने या यातना का खतरा हो, तो प्रवासी इसका विरोध कर सकें।
